The other distraction.

Spent a while learning how to use the ATLS crossing stuff. Means you can set the crossing to close much earlier so fast trains don't rush through opened crossings like in the old Trainz versions before this miracle. Also allows you to set up different lights and barriers. For this crossing i'm not using any special barriers but an old crossing by Tafweb..  But lights and sirens!

Warble..Warble..Warble..Warble..Warble..Warble..

Hey did you see that guy on the horse?!  Didn't know we had cowboys in the UK?
Additional: I realised why the noise was irritating. In the real world the sirens stop sounding once the gates have closed.. I'll have to modify it and put up a new video sometime, possibly with a full skirted barrier crossing also!

Now the silly thing is this crossing won't be used much at all in the current plan. This is not the direction trains leave Bowery to go down the railway... Its just the remnants of the line and goes on a quarter of a mile from Bowery, weeds, bushes the lot.

Where the line disappears into bushes...
(do remember you can click any picture for a much bigger beautiful shot).

Although there is a plan to connect it to a National Rail station only 2miles away..... It would be lucrative for the railway as on busy days a connecting service can be run between the railway and national rail, giving people an alternative to cars! We promote public transport here..
